How do I turn on subtitles and choose between them?

Short answer

Open the player menu while a video is playing and pick a subtitle track — every caption track inside the file is listed, along with an Off row. Subtitles are never switched on for you: a file with ten tracks opens silent until you choose one.

Most players either force the first subtitle track onto every file or bury the choice. FoxDL does neither. Nothing appears until you ask, and the moment you do, every track the file carries is listed by language.

While a video is playing

  1. Open the menu from the player controls.
  2. Choose Subtitles, then the language you want — or Off to clear it.
  3. Do the same under Audio to switch language track if the file has more than one.

The choice sticks to that file, so an episode you resume tomorrow comes back with the same subtitle and the same audio track. Switching mid-playback does not restart the video.
