What this is, and what it refuses to be
FoxDL is a player, a file manager and a download engine that share one library, for iPhone, iPad and Mac. This page is the part that matters more than the feature list: what it will not do, and who is saying so.
Most apps in this category are one good idea surrounded by things that get in the way — a player that cannot manage files, a file manager that cannot play anything, a downloader that hands you something neither of the other two will open. FoxDL exists because those three jobs are the same job, and splitting them across three apps means three libraries, three copies of every file and a share sheet in between.
The second thing it is built around is that you bring the content. Nothing ships with the app: no channels, no films, no streams, no catalogue. It opens what you already have and what you choose to point it at. That is a design decision as much as a legal one — an app that supplies content has to decide what you may watch, and this one has no opinion.
What it will not do
These are not features. They are limits we have accepted on purpose, and each one costs something — which is what makes them worth stating.
Vault files are encrypted with a key generated on your device and wrapped by your passcode and your recovery code. No copy of that key exists anywhere else, so if you forget the passcode and lose the recovery code, nobody — including us — can decrypt those files. The cost of a vault we could open is a vault anyone who compelled us could open.
There is nothing to register for and no profile to create. Your files, playlists, IPTV credentials and browsing stay on the device. The cost is that nothing syncs itself between your devices — you move things across deliberately, over Wi-Fi or directly device to device.
The free version on iPhone and iPad carries banners and native placements, plus rewarded videos you choose to start. There is no full-screen ad between you and what you were doing, and no code in the app that could show one. The Mac build contains no advertising SDK at all.
FoxDL provides, hosts and supplies nothing to watch. It also does not inspect what you play or report it anywhere. What a given IPTV provider has the right to carry is a question about that provider, and one we are not in a position to answer for you.
Analytics are anonymous counts of which screens and actions are used. They carry no file names, no paths, no URLs and no credentials, they are not tied to an identity, and they can be switched off permanently in Settings — after which nothing is sent at all.
Every feature is present without paying. Pro removes advertising and lifts the limits — more connections, unlimited downloads, Picture in Picture, the equalizer, every theme — but nothing is hidden behind it that would make the free version feel like a demonstration.
How it is paid for
Two ways, both visible. On iPhone and iPad the free version shows banner and native advertising, and offers rewarded videos you can start to top up the free allowances. On Mac there is no advertising at all — the SDK is not in the build.
FoxDL Pro is an optional subscription that removes the advertising and lifts the limits, on all three platforms from one purchase. There is no lifetime tier and no free trial: a trial that ends in a charge somebody forgot about is a refund and a bad review, and we would rather sell a week to someone who wanted a week.
What there is not is a third way. No data is sold, no analytics profile is built, and there is nothing in the app whose purpose is to learn about you.

FoxDL is published by Banba Games. The address for anything about the app is below; each one goes somewhere different, and all of them are read.
If something in this site turns out to be wrong — a claim about the app that does not match what it does, a format listed that does not open — that is worth telling us about more than a feature request is. The accuracy of these pages is checked against the app’s own source, and when it drifts we would like to know before the App Store does.
