Two libraries the world already publishes.
Podcasts from the open Podcast Index, stations from Radio Browser. We host neither.
- Search, subscribe and keep episodes offline for a flight or a commute.
- Radio stations worldwide, as a list or on a map.
- One player for podcasts, radio, music and video.
FoxDL Two of the largest media libraries in the world are open directories that anybody can query: the Podcast Index for podcasts, Radio Browser for radio stations. Neither needs an account, and neither is hosted by the app that shows it to you.
What an app adds is the part that is actually hard — search that returns something useful, subscriptions that keep episodes for a flight, and one player that handles a podcast, a station and your own music without changing its behaviour underneath you.

Can I use FoxDL as a podcast app?
Yes. Search the Podcast Index directory, subscribe, and new episodes appear on their own. Episodes can be kept offline for a flight, and playback speed, the sleep timer and the equalizer are shared with the rest of the player.
Read the guideHow do I find internet radio stations?
FoxDL lists stations from Radio Browser, a public worldwide directory, and you can browse them as a list or find them on a map. Stations play through the same engine as everything else, so the equalizer and the sleep timer apply.
