Web browser

A web browser whose job is getting things into your library.

Tabs, bookmarks and a content blocker, plus detection that notices playable media on a page.

  • Media detection as you browse, with the real type sniffed rather than guessed.
  • Cookies, referer and user agent carried through so a protected link resolves.
  • One tap to the library for PDFs, ZIPs and documents.

A web browser inside a media app has one job that Safari does not: noticing that the page you are on contains something playable, and putting it where the rest of your library lives.

Doing that reliably is less about the button and more about what happens after it — the request that fetches the file has to look exactly like the browser that was allowed to see it, or a protected link answers with an error page instead.
