Transfer

Getting files in, without a cable or a cloud detour.

Two direct routes and every cloud you already use. Neither direct route touches a server we run.

  • Wi-Fi Transfer — a browser page on your computer, a 6-digit PIN, drag and drop.
  • Device-to-device transfer over an encrypted peer-to-peer link.
  • Cloud and WebDAV — Dropbox, OneDrive, Box, pCloud, Nextcloud and more.

Getting a large file onto an iPhone is still the awkward part of owning one. The cable route needs software on the computer, the cloud route needs the file to travel twice, and the share sheet gives up somewhere around the size of a film.

Two direct routes fix most of it: your computer’s browser talking to the phone over your own network, and one device talking to another. Neither passes through anything we run.
