How do I add an Xtream Codes account?

Accepted Answer

Open Sources, choose Xtream, and enter the panel address, username and password from your provider. FoxDL loads live channels, the movie and series catalogue, the EPG and catch-up where the provider offers them — no M3U URL needed.

Does FoxDL show the EPG guide and catch-up TV?

Accepted Answer

Yes, when your provider supplies them. The EPG shows what is on now and next per channel, and catch-up lets you go back to a programme that has already aired. Both come from the provider — FoxDL displays what the account or playlist offers.

Can FoxDL handle a playlist with millions of channels?

Yes. The import is measured against a 2,000,000-channel playlist of about 485 MB: it finishes in roughly two minutes and lifts the app’s peak memory by around 9 MB, because the playlist is streamed to disk rather than read into memory, and committed in a single database transaction.

Why does my IPTV channel buffer or fail to open?

Almost always the provider, not the app. Test the same channel in another player on the same network: if it fails there too, the stream is dead, the account has expired, or you have used up the simultaneous connections the panel allows. Closing other playing devices usually fixes it.

Does FoxDL provide IPTV channels, films or streams?

No. FoxDL provides, hosts and supplies no content whatsoever — no channel, film or stream ships with the app, and it sells no subscriptions. It is a player for content you add yourself from a service you legally subscribe to, and you are responsible for that content.
