Yes. When FoxDL leaves the screen, transfers hand over to a system background session and carry on — through switching apps, locking the phone, or the app being closed. Finished files land in your library and a notification tells you they arrived.

Yes. HLS streams are fetched segment by segment and remuxed into a single MP4, so what lands in your library is a normal file you can play, move or share — not a folder of .ts fragments that only a specialist player understands.
