Is FoxDL a real Mac app?
Short answer
Yes — it runs natively on macOS with a menu bar, keyboard shortcuts, ⌘-click multi-select, multiple windows and the player in its own resizable window, plus Reveal in Finder. It is the same app and the same library as on iPhone, and one subscription covers both.

A phone app stretched into a window is obvious within a minute of use. The Mac build behaves the way Mac software is expected to: menus where menus belong, keyboard shortcuts for the things you repeat, selection with ⌘ and ⇧, and windows you can open more of with ⌘N.
Mac specifics
- Multiple windows — a library in one, a player in another, on a second display if you like.
- The player is its own window, not a sheet over the app.
- Reveal in Finder for anything in your library.
- No advertising at all — that build ships no ad SDK.
- Different free allowances as a result: 5 downloads a day, 2 playlists and 2 live TV sources, Wi-Fi Transfer free.
