How does FoxDL work on iPad?

Short answer

The iPad layout uses the width instead of stretching a phone screen: multi-column browsing, multi-select, keyboard and trackpad support, drag and drop onto the window, and USB-C drives browsed in place. Everything else — player, downloads, IPTV — is identical to the iPhone.

Grids and lists ask for a width rather than a column count, so a library that shows two columns on a phone shows five or six on a 13-inch iPad instead of two enormous ones.

Made for the bigger screen

  • Drag and drop files onto the window from Files, Photos or another app.
  • Multi-select for moving, compressing or deleting in one go.
  • Keyboard and trackpad support throughout.
  • USB-C drives and SD readers browsed and played in place, without copying.
  • Picture in Picture over other apps (part of Pro).

The free tier on iPad follows the iPhone rules — rewarded top-ups rather than the Mac’s daily allowances — because the iPad build does carry advertising in the free version.
