Is FoxDL free?
Yes — the whole app is in the free version, with a meter on a few actions such as how many downloads you start and how many sources you keep. FoxDL Pro removes the metering and the advertising. There is no account and no sign-up either way.

Nothing is a locked teaser screen: the player, the file manager, the web browser, IPTV, podcasts, radio and every transfer route are all there without paying.
How the meter works depends on the platform. On iPhone and iPad an allowance is topped up by a short rewarded video you start yourself; the Mac app has no advertising at all and gives a daily or fixed allowance instead.
Two things are Pro-only everywhere: Picture in Picture and the 10-band equalizer. Everything else is a count you can reach in normal use.
