How many files can I keep in the vault without Pro?

Short answer

Fifteen, counted live — taking one out makes room for another. Beyond that, adding needs FoxDL Pro. Everything already inside stays viewable, playable and exportable whatever your subscription state, and this is the one feature with no rewarded-video route.

The count is of files sitting in the vault right now, not of files ever added. Folders inside the vault are not counted, and neither is anything in the decoy. The vault header shows the number quietly on the free tier, as 9/15.

The check happens only when something is added, and it happens before the work starts: moving a folder in tells you up front that it holds 43 files and will not fit, rather than moving 15 and stopping. There is no half-finished move.

Unlike every other metered action in the app, there is no rewarded video here. Putting advertising in front of a privacy feature would say something about the feature that we do not want said — so the vault is either free within the allowance or it is Pro.

If a subscription lapses, nothing inside is touched: it stays viewable, playable and exportable for good. Only adding beyond the allowance asks for Pro again.

Platform by platform

On iPhone

15 items free, then Pro. No rewarded-video top-up for this feature.

Identical to iPhone — the same 15.

On Mac

Also 15. The Mac build has no advertising at all, so nothing differs here.
