How do I get files back out of the vault?
Move individual items out to any folder you pick, or use Export everything in the vault settings to put all of it back into ordinary folders in one action. The folder structure inside the vault is recreated on the way out, and favourites and playlist memberships survive the round trip.

A vault should be a room you can leave. Taking a file out decrypts it, writes it to the folder you choose in your normal library, and converts the library row back — so a track that was in three playlists before it went in is in those three playlists after it comes out.
Export everything is the same operation for the whole vault at once, and it is there so that nothing depends on the app continuing to exist or on a subscription continuing to be paid.
The one thing to be careful about is uninstalling. Deleting FoxDL removes its private storage, and the vault is inside it — so export first. This is true of every iOS app’s own storage, but it matters more here, because the vault is where the irreplaceable things end up.
